A day in the life of Lily T.

Today I want to show you what a typical day looks like for me. Mama took lots of pictures!

7 am - I'm awake. When I shout "hallo hallo" or "Nein, NEIN!" really loudly Mama comes running. She doesn't want me to wake up Finn. But when she opens my shutters it's way too bright at first!

Today I managed to wake up Finn. Yay! He comes and gives me a good morning kiss. I love my big brother SOOO much!

8 am. We are all dressed and having breakfast. Today it's toast with melted cheese. I am currently working on perfecting my technique for only nibbling the cheese off.

8:30 am - we are getting ready to leave the house!

Here you can see me and Finn in the back seat of Papa's tiny car. Mama crashed her car because she "was distracted", that's pretty sad. But now it is so much easier for Finn and I to take each other's snacks and toys away. What fun, but Mama doesn't seem to like it so much. I wonder why?

9 am - we've arrived at the gym! This is where Mama works out. Finn and I get to play while Mama is running or biking or lifting weights.

I help Mama get ready by sampling her drink. How come her water tastes so much better than my water?

This is the gym daycare. Mama brought snacks for Finn and me. After snacktime we play with all the toys. The teachers are really nice, too! Bye, Mama!

Working out at the gym is pretty tiring. I need a short snooze in the car on the way back home.

12.30 pm. We're having lunch! I woke up when Mama carried me inside. Then of course I needed to stay with Mama while she was making lunch. I must say she is getting pretty good at doing things with one hand and carrying me on her hip! She made us nice creamy mashed potatoes and green beans with butter. She insisted on feeding me the mashed potatoes. Rats - they look so good in my hair!

1pm - naptime. See ya later!

3:45pm - wow, I took a good long nap. Even Finn fell asleep today, I better go and ...

... wake him up!

After naptime it's snacktime in our house, and after snacktime it's outside time. Mama wants to take us to a park today, where we can see all kinds of forest animals. But first I have to say hello to my friend Jimmy.

We're at the park! Wow, Finn, look at that elk! And way back there are bison, too!

I wanted to let the wild pigs sniff my hand like Papa taught me to do with dogs. But they put a double fence there, so we could just shout our hellos. Finn liked the wild piglets especially. They have stripes!

8 pm. We spent so much time at the park that we got home really late. We had lots of fun. Supper is more green beans (yummy!) and a ham and cheese quesadilla.

8:30pm. No time for a bath tonight. I'm too tired already. Good night, all!

And here is a little video of me. Mama asked me a few questions after I woke up from my nap.

We're back!

Sorry for the long silence. Neil was on a business trip for a week, testing cars in some Arabian desert. The kids and I did quite well at home, but it was stressful at times! I also managed to crash my car, but thankfully no one was hurt. Now we are left with Neil's tiny car and are still debating whether to have my car fixed or not. It will depend on how long it takes to get all the necessary parts. I hope it will work out, because buying a new car was not really in our budget right now. We'll see!
